How to disable tap clicking (Laptops)
Last Updated 6 years ago
Tap clicking is a feature that will click the mouse when you tap on the laptop's touchpad. This is generally a desired option, but it can lead to incorrect clicks when typing on the keyboard and your hands brush against the trackpad. It is your personal choice if you want the feature enabled or disabled.
Open your start menu and click on the settings Gear
Click on Devices
Click on Mouse & touchpad
Uncheck "Allow taps on the touchpad"
Note: As soon as you uncheck this, you will no longer be able to just tap the trackpad to click, you will need to press until it physically clicks.
